Job Description
Job Overview Established HVAC company serving the San Joaquin Valley is seeking an experienced HVAC service Supervisor to join our team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled technician who enjoys both field work and leadership. The Service Supervisor will provide technical support to technicians, help maintain service excellence, and contribute to the continued success of our service department. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics and service work on residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Review schematics, HVAC designs, and technical manuals to guide complex repairs and system upgrades. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies. Conduct field inspections to verify quality of work, diagnose issues using tools like ohmmeters, and recommend effective solutions. Manage scheduling of service calls, prioritize urgent repairs such as refrigeration or boiler issues, and optimize technician productivity. Provide technical guidance on specialized systems including ammonia refrigeration, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), plumbing, and appliance repair. Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and equipment maintenance logs for accountability and future reference. Requirements Proven experience in construction or mechanical trades with a strong background as a service technician in HVAC or refrigeration fields. Lead by example out in the field. Support, mentor, and train service technicians. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Assist with technician onboarding and development. Ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfactiction. Help maintain efficient service operations and company standards. Work closely with management to support department goals. Qualifications 7+ years HVAC service experience.
