HumanHire is partnered with a premier auto repair and performance shop in Mountain View, CA in their search for an Automotive Technician . This is a hypergrowth shop that is overflowed with work and will be moving into a new location in 2027. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and performing custom builds and tuning high-end European sports and luxury performance vehicles.

Compensation:

Up to $60/hour, dependent upon experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9AM-5:30

Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues on high-performance European and luxury vehicles Install, calibrate, and upgrade performance components such as turbos, superchargers, exhaust systems, intake systems, coilovers, and brakes Perform custom builds, engine swaps, tuning, and retrofits using manufacturer and aftermarket platforms Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards Interpret fault codes and live data using advanced diagnostic tools Work on performance tuning projects, including dyno sessions, data logging, and drivability optimization Maintain accurate records of all work and parts used Assist in customer consultations regarding performance goals and upgrade options

Automotive Technician Qualifications:

2+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing upgrades on high-performance European or luxury vehicles (Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc.) High school diploma or equivalent required, certification or vocational training in automotive technology highly preferred Experience with performance tuning, custom builds, suspension, forced induction systems Valid driver's license and cleaning driving record Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative shop team If you are interested, please apply to this posting with your resume for immediate consideration and a recruiter will be in contact within 48 hours if qualified.
