Commission-based salary structure What You'll Do As an Automotive Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles.

Your day-to-day work may include:

Diagnosing warning and indicator lights, including Check Engine, ABS, Traction Control , and other vehicle systems. Performing comprehensive inspections and accurately identifying mechanical and electrical problems. Diagnosing and repairing brakes, engines, suspension, steering, air conditioning, cooling systems, fuel systems , and other vehicle components. Repairing engine head-gasket leaks, fuel pumps, power-steering components, cooling-system components, and more. Performing routine maintenance, including fluid exchanges, flushes, tire rotations, and complete vehicle inspections. Providing clear, thorough, handwritten recommendations based on your inspections. Using a diagnostic scanner to identify and troubleshoot vehicle problems. Snap-on diagnostic equipment is provided. Resurfacing brake rotors and drums. Pressing in wheel bearings and replacing struts and other vehicle components. Clearly explaining technical diagnoses and recommended repairs to service writers. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has the experience and confidence to tackle a variety of automotive repair challenges.

Required qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of strong automotive diagnostic, mechanical, problem-solving, and repair experience . High School Diploma or GED. Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of automotive systems. Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and repair procedures. Experience using a professional diagnostic scanner. Basic computer knowledge, including the Windows operating system . Your own professional toolbox and tools . Valid driver's license. Ability to operate equipment including hydraulic presses, strut compressors, air tools, hand tools, and basic office equipment. Ability to lift and move work-related items weighing up to 75 pounds . Ability to push, pull, bend at the knees and waist, twist, reach overhead, turn your head/neck/shoulders as needed, and safely grasp and operate tools and equipment. A high level of motivation, energy, reliability, and a customer-focused attitude . You'll be expected to: Keep your tools organized and your work area clean. Keep surrounding areas free of spills and automotive fluids. Mop and clean your work area when needed.
