Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Vehicle Reconditioning Service Technician to join our automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to optimal condition through comprehensive reconditioning processes, including mechanical repairs, cosmetic enhancements, and systems diagnostics. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle meets our high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results. Duties Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs and reconditioning needs, including mechanical systems, electrical components, and cosmetic surfaces. Conduct repairs on various automotive systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and diesel engines using hand tools and power tools. Utilize schematics and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), automotive electrical systems, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Repair or replace mechanical parts such as axles, shocks & struts, brakes, and suspension components while adhering to manufacturer specifications. Use welding equipment and mechanical knowledge to perform structural repairs or modifications when necessary. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and vehicle status. Requirements Proven experience working in a dealership or automotive repair industry with a strong background in vehicle diagnostics and mechanical repair. Knowledge of automotive schematics, electrical systems, ADAS technology, diesel engine repair, transmission repair, and heavy equipment mechanics. Familiarity with automotive service procedures including oil changes, wheel alignments, brake repair, suspension work, and tire service. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems such as powertrain components, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical wiring. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid certifications in automotive repair or related fields are preferred; ongoing training in automotive diagnostics or ADAS is advantageous. Pay:
$29.81 - $32.72 per hour
