In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal operation. Your mechanical skills and knowledge of automotive systems will be vital in delivering top-tier service and building lasting customer relationships. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure peak performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools efficiently for repairs and installations. Service diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics tasks with precision while adhering to safety standards such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and air brake system repairs. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability before delivery. Experience Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments. Hands-on experience repairing transmissions, diesel engines, automotive electrical systems, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and auto estimating software is highly desirable. Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices. Prior experience working with schematics for complex vehicle systems is preferred. Strong commitment to vehicle maintenance standards and customer satisfaction with excellent communication skills. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
