Responsibilities Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, engine-performance, and mechanical concerns Perform diagnostic testing using professional scan tools, oscilloscopes, wiring diagrams, and service information Complete repairs accurately and efficiently Perform mechanical repairs, including major repairs such as timing-chain replacement when required Clearly document diagnostic and inspection findings Communicate findings with service advisors Perform thorough vehicle inspections Follow established shop procedures Maintain quality-control standards Keep your work area clean and organized Take responsibility for assigned vehicles and workmanship Clock into and properly document assigned work according to shop procedures Qualifications 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred Experience with electrical and drivability diagnostics Strong mechanical repair ability Comfortable using service information and wiring diagrams ASE certifications are a plus Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Dependable and punctual Able to work independently while still being part of a team Willing to receive feedback and continue learning Able to lift up to 50 pounds The Person We're Looking For We're not looking for someone who simply wants another technician job.
