$25-$35 / hour (Flag Hour DOE) + Depending on Experience About the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Heavy Line Automotive Technician to join our team. In this role, you will specialize in major mechanical repairs, engine overhauls, transmission swaps, and complex drive train diagnostics. If you thrive on deep mechanical challenges, take pride in precision work, and have a strong track record of high productivity, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Perform major engine repairs, teardowns, rebuilds, and replacements. Diagnose and repair transmission systems, transfer cases, and differentials. Execute major drive train, suspension, and subframe service. Perform complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics related to heavy engine/powertrain issues. Conduct complete vehicle inspections and accurately document required services and parts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with shop safety standards.Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
3-5+ years of professional automotive experience specializing in heavy line work.Certification:
ASE Certifications (A1 Engine Repair, A2 Automatic Transmission, A3 Manual Drive Train preferred) or manufacturer-specific certifications.Tools:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and your own complete set of professional hand and air/power tools.Skills:
Proficient with diagnostic scan tools, engine stands, hoists, and specialty pullers/presses. Strong problem-solving abilities and physical capability to handle heavy mechanical components safely.
