This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who understands how to work through a vehicle systematically, use service information, test instead of guess, and complete quality repairs within reasonable labor times. We are a growing independent repair shop in San Bernardino with an emphasis on diagnostics, transparency, documentation, and measurable technician performance. What you'll be doing Diagnose electrical, drivability, emissions, cooling, A/C and mechanical concerns Perform engine, transmission, suspension, brake and general mechanical repairs Read wiring diagrams and OEM/service information Use scan data, scopes, meters, pressure testing and other diagnostic equipment when appropriate Document findings clearly enough that another technician or service advisor can understand what was tested and why Perform repairs according to manufacturer procedures Inspect vehicles and identify legitimate additional repair needs Maintain an organized bay and professional work environment Perform post-repair verification and road testing What we're looking for You should be comfortable taking a vehicle from concern → diagnosis → repair → verification . We're especially interested in technicians who have: Several years of professional automotive repair experience Strong diagnostic and electrical ability Experience with modern scan tools and service information Ability to handle major mechanical work when necessary Good time management and consistent productivity Their own professional hand tools A valid driver's license ASE certifications are a plus, but demonstrated ability matters more to us than certificates alone How we operate We track sold hours, actual repair time, productivity, efficiency, comebacks and warranty work. The purpose isn't micromanagement — it's to create a shop where expectations are clear and strong technicians can demonstrate what they're capable of. Our shop provides diagnostic equipment, information systems and specialty tooling needed to properly perform the work. Compensation Starting compensation is $30/hour , with the final compensation structure based on experience and demonstrated capability. We're specifically looking for a technician who can consistently produce quality work.
