Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission. Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing or repairing mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical wiring. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, alignment procedures, and powertrain servicing to ensure optimal performance. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and installations while adhering to safety standards. Diagnose complex issues in GM vehicles or other makes using specialized diagnostic equipment to deliver precise solutions. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while providing excellent customer service by explaining work performed clearly. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and the use of automotive electrical systems. Experience repairing vehicle suspension systems, transmissions, diesel engines, and performing alignments. Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of ADAS technology integration and calibration processes is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude; ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid mechanic experience with a focus on vehicle systems maintenance and repair; certification or training in GM vehicles is advantageous.
