General Service Automotive Technician Dhillon Motorsports - San Jose, CA Full-Time About Us Dhillon Motorsports is a full-service automotive repair shop in San Jose. We work on all makes and models and specialize in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, smog inspections and repairs, Vehicle Safety Systems Inspections (VSSI), and general automotive repair. We are looking for a General Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has basic automotive experience and wants to continue learning and developing into a well-rounded automotive technician. You do not need to be a master technician. We are looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing the job correctly. Responsibilities As a General Service Technician, your responsibilities may include: Oil and filter changes Tire rotations and tire pressure adjustments Brake inspections and basic brake services Fluid inspections and fluid exchanges Battery testing and replacement Air and cabin filter replacement Wiper blade and bulb replacement Basic suspension and steering inspections Performing complete digital vehicle inspections Taking clear photos and documenting vehicle conditions Assisting experienced technicians when needed Maintaining a clean and organized work area Performing quality-control checks before vehicles are returned to customers As your knowledge and experience grow, you will have opportunities to take on more advanced maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic work. What We're Looking For Basic automotive knowledge or hands-on automotive experience preferred Automotive school experience is a plus, but not required Valid driver's license Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to follow instructions and shop procedures Comfortable using an iPad and digital repair orders Good communication and teamwork Willingness to learn and accept feedback Strong attention to detail Ability to work safely and efficiently Personal automotive tools are preferred Training & Career Development Dhillon Motorsports believes in developing technicians, not just hiring them.
