Position Overview We are looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Parts & Service Writer to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting our service department, communicating with customers, preparing repair estimates, ordering parts, coordinating with technicians and vendors, and assisting with equipment sales. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, follows through, communicates well with customers, and has the desire to grow with the company. Responsibilities Prepare service and repair estimates based on technician findings and recommendations. Follow up with customers regarding estimates until repairs are approved or declined. Communicate repair recommendations, pricing, and service updates clearly and professionally. Order parts through industry-specific systems and directly from vendors. Contact vendors for parts availability, pricing, and delivery information. Coordinate with technicians and the service department to help keep repair jobs moving efficiently. Answer incoming customer phone calls and assist with service, parts, and general inquiries. Maintain accurate customer, parts, service, and repair information. Assist with new and used equipment sales opportunities. Identify opportunities for additional service, parts, rental, and equipment sales. Maintain strong customer relationships and provide timely follow-up. Assist with general office, service department, and business operations as needed. Qualifications & Qualities We Seek Automotive parts and/or service experience is required. Service writer or service advisor experience is preferred. Automotive, forklift, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or similar experience is a plus. CRM experience is preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple open jobs and follow through until completion. Highly dependable, responsible, and punctual. Strong work ethic and integrity. Humble, coachable, and willing to learn. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Comfortable communicating with customers, technicians, and vendors. Leadership, supervisory, sales, or entrepreneurial experience is a plus. Compensation Guaranteed minimum annual compensation of $60,000 through our commission draw structure Additional commissions and performance bonuses above the $60,000 guarantee Additional earning potential based on sales, performance, and contribution to company growth Our compensation structure provides a guaranteed minimum income while giving motivated team members the opportunity to earn more based on performance.
