Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Vehicle Communications Installer/Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle communication and telematics equipment in commercial fleet vehicles. This role is open to experienced 12V installers as well as students or entry-level candidates interested in electronics, automotive technology, electrical engineering, computer engineering, robotics, or related technical fields . The position is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn practical vehicle electronics, and takes pride in clean, reliable installations. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle communication systems including telematics, GPS tracking, Wi-Fi hotspots, and sensor systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately complete installations and repairs. Perform diagnostics on automotive electrical systems using specialized tools and software to identify issues efficiently. Wire devices to vehicle power, ignition, ground, CAN/OBD-II, and accessory circuits. Work with automotive service teams to ensure seamless integration of communication systems with existing vehicle electronics. Document installations with photos, notes, serial numbers, and vehicle information. Troubleshoot power, signal, GPS, cellular, and wiring issues. Qualifications Interest in electronics, engineering, automotive systems, or hands-on technical work. Ability to identify constant power, ignition power, ground, and accessory circuits. Experience with GPS, fleet tracking, radios, dash cams, alarms, or similar systems preferred, though not required. Strong attention to detail and clean installation practices. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance tools required for installation work. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Basic troubleshooting of Android, Linux, or network-connected vehicle devices. Cellular gateway, GPS antenna, or mobile router installation.

Pay:
$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
