Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver top-tier automotive services to our valued customers, maintaining the high standards that American Tire Stores is known for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, including import and domestic models, utilizing your mechanical skills and diagnostic abilities. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, and brake repairs Repair and service preventive maintenance, powertrain components, shocks & struts, and complete suspension systems including alignments. Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical equipment, and other mechanical tools efficiently during repairs Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures while working on vehicles Communicate clearly with team members about repair needs and estimated timelines to enhance customer service experience Skills Proven automotive experience with expert efficiency Strong knowledge of automotive undercar, underhood and and diagnostics and alignment Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, alignment software equipment, and computer diagnostic systems Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to address client concerns effectively Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for complex repairs Join our team to be part of a trusted name in the automotive industry!
