Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as a Suspension and Steering Technician, where your expertise will drive vehicle safety, performance, and customer satisfaction to new heights! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining suspension and steering systems on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate smoothly and safely. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will be essential in delivering top-tier automotive service that keeps our customers confidently on the road. Duties Diagnose issues related to suspension systems, steering components, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools Repair or replace suspension parts such as shocks, struts, ball joints, control arms, and bushings to restore vehicle stability and handling Perform wheel alignments to optimize tire wear and vehicle performance Conduct comprehensive inspections of steering systems including power steering pumps, racks, and linkages Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems to execute repairs efficiently Assist with other mechanical repairs including brake repair, oil changes, tire service, and general vehicle maintenance as needed Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues involving ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and diesel engines Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive suspension systems, steering components, transmissions, and powertrain systems Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs Proficiency with automotive electrical systems and diagnostic tools including ADAS technology Hands-on experience with heavy equipment mechanics or diesel engine repair is a plus Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism Valid certification or licensing related to automotive repair; ASE certification is highly desirable Knowledge of GM vehicles or experience working with transmissions is advantageous Join us in delivering exceptional automotive care by applying your technical expertise in a vibrant environment where innovation meets customer satisfaction.
