Job Description
Master Technician - Adventure Vehicle Upfitting & Performance Agile Offroad - Santee, CA Agile Offroad is seeking an experienced Master Technician to join our growing team specializing in premium aftermarket upgrades for adventure vehicles — primarily Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans, Ineos Grenadiers and the Ford Raptor line-up. This position is ideal for a highly skilled technician with strong technical background, diagnostic ability, and hands-on experience with suspension systems, drivetrain upgrades, electrical/power systems, and off-road accessories installation. Position Summary The Master Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, installing, servicing, and troubleshooting advanced aftermarket systems and components on adventure vehicles. The ideal candidate has extensive mechanical and electrical experience, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can work independently while maintaining high standards for quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and driveline issues Install and service: Suspension systems Differential and gear upgrades Air locker systems Wheels, tires, and brake upgrades Steering and chassis components Install and troubleshoot: Auxiliary battery and power systems Inverters, solar components, DC-DC chargers, and vehicle electronics Aftermarket lighting, switches, and accessories Communications and off-road accessory systems Perform quality control inspections on completed builds Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and technical schematics Ensure all work meets Agile Offroad quality standards Collaborate with Service Advisors, Sales Team, and Shop Leadership Mentor and support junior technicians when needed Maintain organized work areas and accurate documentation of work performed Qualifications Required 5+ years of professional automotive or RV technician experience Strong experience with: Suspension systems Gears and differentials Electrical diagnostics Power systems and after-market accessories Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to use professional diagnostic tools and shop equipment Clean driving record and valid driver's license Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Preferred Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van experience Adventure van, off-road, overland, or 4x4 industry experience ASE Certifications Experience with: Differential set-up and installation Suspension installation and diagnostics Van electrical systems (12v, 120v, 48v) Ineos Grenadier experience What We Offer Hourly compensation $35 to $45 per hours commensurate with experience Opportunities for advancement in a rapidly growing industry Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits 401(k) with company match and Profit Sharing Paid Time Off Employee discounts on products and services Opportunity to work on some of the most advanced adventure vehicle builds in the industry Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday Occasional overtime and weekend event support may be required About Agile Offroad Agile Offroad is a leader in premium suspension, handling, and performance upgrades for adventure vehicles. A customer complains that their modified vehicle developed drivability issues, intermittent warning lights, and electrical problems after multiple aftermarket accessories and auxiliary power components were installed. Walk us through your diagnostic process step-by-step, including the tools, testing methods, and troubleshooting approach you would use to isolate and resolve the issue. Describe the most technically challenging vehicle installation you have personally completed. Please include the specific systems involved (suspension, gears/differentials, power systems, lighting, accessories, etc.), your role in the build, follow-up issues, and how you resolved them.Work Location:
