Description Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted commercial service provider with more than 20 years of experience serving clients throughout California. We are currently seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our team in Tracy, CA. The Shop Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a variety of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, stake-bed trucks, vans, pickup trucks, and construction equipment. Schedule Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Responsibilities Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tune-ups, brake and shock replacements Perform work from floor creepers, two-post lifts, jack stands or in-ground lifts Inspect and diagnose engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment Troubleshoot equipment and vehicle performance problems Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and internal teams to provide updates on repair status and material requirements Ensure a clean and safe work environment while strictly adhering to all safety protocols Perform test drives of vehicles in compliance with company guidelines Assist with additional duties as needed to support departmental operations Requirements Minimum of 10 years of recent, relevant experience as a shop mechanic Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively and prepare clear, professional reports and emails Ability to stand, walk, work from floor creepers, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday Valid driver's license Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle record (MVR) check About the Company Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
