Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems, with precision and attention to detail. Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and vehicle suspension adjustments to ensure optimal handling and safety. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently across diverse vehicle makes and models. Diagnose and repair diesel engines as well as gasoline-powered vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications. Perform auto body repairs when necessary, including welding and minor bodywork tasks to restore vehicle aesthetics. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and mechanical issues effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair, ideally within a dealership or professional repair shop setting. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, and diesel engine repair techniques. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex vehicle issues. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices necessary for comprehensive repairs. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently.
