Automotive Refinish Technician

Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using paint spraying equipment and hand tools Conduct buffing, polishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with the service team to assess vehicle damage, estimate repair times, and communicate progress effectively Requirements Proven auto body shop experience with a strong foundation in auto painting and refinishing techniques Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto restoration processes, and auto maintenance procedures Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software Skilled in color theory with strong color matching abilities. both in base-clear, as well as 3 stage paint application's Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repair processes Prior experience with auto painting, auto body is preferred with 5 years experience as a painter.
