Atomic Transport is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy-Duty Truck, Trailer & Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate is a positive, self-motivated individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains accurate maintenance records, and is willing to work on a wide variety of trucks, trailers, equipment, and repair needs. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems Use industry-standard diagnostic software and tools, including Cummins

INSITE, JPRO, CAT ET, DAVIE

4, and similar systems Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed Perform heavy-duty tire replacement and repair Monitor, document, and maintain accurate vehicle service and maintenance records Identify maintenance concerns and recommend necessary repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience working with tractor-trailers and/or heavy equipment Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Experience with heavy-duty diagnostic software and equipment Welding experience Experience with DOT inspections and preventative maintenance Ability to maintain accurate service and maintenance records Ability to communicate effectively in English, including understanding safety instructions, completing maintenance documentation, and communicating repair information Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to provide and maintain your own mechanic tools CDL Class A preferred If operating company vehicles requiring a CDL, a valid CDL Class A and satisfactory motor vehicle record will be required Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
