Mend Wound Solutions is growing throughout Southern Colorado, and we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our wound care team and provide coverage across Colorado Springs and Pueblo . This position is ideal for a provider who enjoys hands-on medicine, clinical independence, variety, and flexibility and is comfortable working across both markets. You'll provide specialized wound care in private homes, assisted living communities, long-term care settings, and our Colorado Springs outpatient wound clinic . Rather than spending every day traveling between Colorado Springs and Pueblo, we work to organize schedules geographically, with dedicated Colorado Springs and Pueblo days whenever possible . You'll independently manage your patients and treatment plans while having the clinical and administrative support of an experienced wound care organization behind you. Your responsibilities will include:

Performing comprehensive wound assessments Developing individualized treatment plans Performing sharp debridement and other indicated wound care procedures Utilizing advanced wound therapies when clinically appropriate Monitoring wound healing and adjusting treatment plans Identifying and addressing barriers to healing Managing complex and chronic wounds across a variety of patient populations Coordinating care with home health agencies, facility staff, specialists, caregivers, and families Educating patients and caregivers Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation Communicating with the Mend clinical and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care Who We're Looking For We're looking for an NP or PA who enjoys problem-solving, procedures, independent patient care, and variety in their clinical week . Required Qualifications Current Colorado Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license Master's degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Comfortable practicing independently Reliable transportation Willingness to provide coverage in both Colorado Springs and Pueblo Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of clinical experience Previous wound care experience Experience performing debridement Experience with advanced wound therapies and/or skin substitutes Wound care certification such as WCC, CWCA, CWS, or similar Interested in wound care but don't have years of wound-specific experience? We don't want that to stop a great clinician from applying. We are also interested in experienced NPs and PAs from other specialties who have strong assessment skills, procedural experience, sound clinical judgment, and an interest in developing expertise in advanced wound care . How the Schedule Works You won't spend every day driving back and forth between Colorado Springs and Pueblo. We work to geographically organize patient schedules so providers can concentrate visits within a particular market whenever possible. For example, your week may include dedicated Colorado Springs days and dedicated Pueblo days , rather than repeatedly traveling between the two cities throughout the day. The Colorado Springs portion of the position may also include time in our outpatient wound clinic , providing additional variety and days without mobile travel. Providers typically see 6-15 patients per day , depending on patient complexity, geography, and desired workload.

Compensation & Travel $135,000-$160,000 per year Compensation is based on clinical experience, wound care expertise, qualifications, and schedule. Because this position provides coverage across both Colorado Springs and Pueblo, qualifying providers are eligible for an additional car allowance . Mileage associated with mobile patient care is also reimbursed.
