Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including GM models and diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid replacements with precision. Utilize schematics, automotive electrical systems, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and service powertrain components, transmissions, axles, and alignments to manufacturer specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment safely and effectively. Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Requirements Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Extensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines. Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration, wheel alignment, and vehicle schematics. Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities. Valid mechanic certification or equivalent technical training; ASE certification is preferred but not required.
