Automotive Diagnostic Technician - 4-Day Week Driven Diagnostics Auto & Diesel Repair — Grand Junction, CO Driven Diagnostics is a family-owned, ASE-certified shop hiring an experienced automotive technician who diagnoses on his own and fixes it right the first time. This is not an entry-level or general-service position. What this level means here Most shops in the valley don't define technician levels. We do, because pay is tied to it. This posting is for a B-Level technician. A-Level and Master technicians are encouraged to apply, we have a place and a pay level for you.

• You diagnose drivability and electrical problems start to finish — wiring diagrams, voltage-drop testing, scan data, scope work — and you prove the fix before the car leaves
• You consistently bill 32-40 hours a week and can show it
• You own a complete professional tool set (typically $30K+ invested)
• ASE A-series certifications are preferred — they raise your base rate, and we reimburse testing so you can add them Requirements
• 5+ years professional shop experience (dealer or independent)
• EPA Section 609 certification
• Complete professional tool set
• Documented billed-hours history — average 32+ billed hours per week at your last shop, verifiable
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

ASE A-series certifications; ASE Master a strong plus What You'll Work On

• Gas-powered cars, SUVs, and light trucks — drivability, electrical, emissions, and general repair
• Fleet vehicles, European vehicles, and wheelchair-accessible mobility vans
• Documented digital vehicle inspections with photos and measurements — recommendations are evidence-based, never guessed How Our Day Runs Diagnostics are scheduled in the morning, repairs fill the afternoon, and the team huddles at the start and end of every day.

Diag time is authorized before you start it. Work is dispatched and parts are staged before a job is assigned — no chasing approvals, no surprise pileups. Pay and Benefits We pay a hybrid structure: a guaranteed hourly base plus production pay on the hours you bill. Your ASE certifications raise the base. Your billed hours raise the check.

• $26/hr+ starting base, based on experience
