Key Responsibilities:

Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces. Apply primer, topcoat, and clear coat on vehicles to achieve the desired finish. Mix and apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other equipment. Ensure color matching and blend the color properly to achieve a seamless look. Ensure a high-quality finish by inspecting and polishing painted surfaces. Repair any painting defects or imperfections. Maintain inventory of painting supplies and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow safety protocols and industry standards. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude with customers and coworkers.

Required Qualifications:

Prior experience as an automotive refinish technician is required. Proven track record of producing high-quality refinishing work. Strong knowledge of different painting methods and techniques. Ability to use various tools and equipment used in automotive refinishing. Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent color vision and ability to match colors accurately. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations. Must have a valid driver's license. Certified General Motors Training will be required upon employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in automotive refinishing or a related field. Experience with various paint types and application techniques. Familiarity with computerized color matching systems. 2-5 years of automotive painting and refinishing experience. ICAR certification preferred.
