Experience & Qualifications Needed:
Valid driver s license and clean driving record 1-3 years of automotive technician experience is required. Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models, and sizes. Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices. Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings. Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions. Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
