Buckskin Towing & Repair is looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Service Writer to join our team. We're looking for someone who is great with people, understands the automotive repair business, and can keep things moving in a fast-paced shop. This position is the main point of contact between our customers and technicians, so communication, organization, and customer service are extremely important. Responsibilities Greet customers and determine their vehicle concerns Write accurate and detailed repair orders Communicate with technicians regarding diagnostics and repairs Prepare estimates and explain recommended repairs to customers Obtain customer authorization for repairs Order and Coordinate parts as needed Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicles Schedule appointments and manage workflow Hadle customer questions professionally Follow up with customers and help build long-term relationships Work closely with technicians and management to keep jobs moving efficiently What We're Looking For Automotive knowledge and/or previous service writing expirience Excellent customer service skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable discussing repair recommendations and pricing with customers Dependable, professional, and self-motivated Able to work well with technicians, office personnel, and customers Basic computer skills and ability to learn our shop management software Valid driver's license What We Can Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-Time position Stable work enviroment Opportunity for performance based bonuses Employee discounts A locally owned shop where good employees are valued We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to help us provide customers with an honest, professional automotive repair expirience.
