The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring a seamless experience from intake to service completion. This role requires a blend of automotive knowledge, sales skills, and exceptional customer service to effectively communicate repair needs, estimate costs, and promote additional services. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with automotive diagnostics are highly desirable to succeed in this position. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and trust. Assess customer vehicle concerns and accurately document symptoms and repair requests. Prepare detailed service estimates using automotive estimating software, including repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brakes, auto body repairs, and more. Communicate repair recommendations clearly and effectively to customers while upselling additional services when appropriate. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services. Maintain accurate documentation of all service activities and customer interactions in the dealership management system. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote future business. Stay informed about new automotive technologies, repair procedures, and service promotions. Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership or repair shop; dealership experience is preferred. Strong automotive knowledge including auto service management, vehicle maintenance, auto estimating, automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with various repair specialties such as transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, brake repair, air brakes. Bilingual English/Spanish Required Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Experience with service writing software and cash handling procedures. Knowledge of automobile sales processes is a plus but not required. Mechanical experience or background as a mechanic or service technician is advantageous.
