Job Description

You want steady work without getting dragged into nights, weekends, and on-call chaos. You want to be paid well for doing real work that actually matters. You don't mind getting dirty. You mind being undervalued. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in doing the job most people won't, keep reading. Who We Are DrainWorks is built for people who solve problems, not just punch a clock. We're more than plumbers, and this Septic Truck Tech role matters because you're helping keep homes and systems running the way they should. If you want a place that values mastering your craft, accountability, integrity, and being engaged, you'll fit right in. If you want a great place to work without on-call stress, this is that. What You'll Be Doing Your day starts with a truck, a route, and work that can't be faked. You'll drive to scheduled jobs, operate and maintain vacuum and pump equipment, and handle septic service that customers are counting on. Some days you're pulling hoses in the heat. Some days it's cold, wet, and ugly. You'll be lifting up to 75 pounds, working around odors, troubleshooting equipment, and staying calm when something goes sideways. You'll often be the only face the customer sees. That means you'll represent DrainWorks with professionalism, explain issues in plain English, and leave knowing you handled a critical public health job that most people never think about until it matters. The Hiring Process We have a rigorous process for hiring, but move FAST for the right person. You could be hired in as little as 10 days! We've had lots of interest, so the first few steps are automated to make sure you can get considered quickly. Don't worry—if you take the time to apply, we will respond to 100% of the applicants.
The process:
Click apply and answer a few Who, What, When questions. (5 min) You'll be texted a link for a 10 min questionnaire that will help match you to the job (or others that might suit you!). You'll get a text for a quick 1-way video question. (5 min) We'll send you a link to get scheduled for an in-person interview. You can easily be in for an interview within a couple days from right now. What You'll Earn You'll earn $75,000 to $100,000 per year, with bonus and commission opportunities on top. You'll average 45 hours per week. This is a real full-time role with real income and no on-call requirement. Why Work With Us You get the stuff that actually matters: no weekends, no on call, paid holidays, paid time off, and your birthday off with pay. You'll also get a 3% retirement match, company contributions to health insurance premiums, continuing education, a $150 yearly boot credit, company events, and regular team huddles. This is not for someone who needs a climate-controlled desk, gets grossed out easily, or wants to coast. It is for someone who wants to master their craft, be accountable, stay engaged, and do essential work with integrity. Who We're Looking For You'll do well here if you're reliable, physically tough, mechanically sharp, and comfortable working independently. You take pride in work that others avoid, and you know how to stay professional on someone else's property. You have a valid CDL, especially Class B. You can operate and maintain vacuum or pump trucks. You understand septic systems, drain fields, and tank components. You can troubleshoot basic mechanical issues. You can work in heat, cold, and rain, and lift up to 75 pounds. You can handle odors, mud, heavy hoses, and unpleasant conditions without complaining. You explain technical issues simply and treat customers well. You stay calm when things go wrong. You have zero ego about the nature of the work. Experience in plumbing, construction, or waste management helps. If you're honest, dependable, and ready to do important work without nights, weekends, or on-call nonsense, apply now and let's talk.
