Job Overview Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic Full-Time | Excavation & Utility Contractor We are seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections. Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Excavators, loaders, skid steers, trucks, and trailers Small engines (generators, pumps, plate compactors, saws, etc.) Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, grease, belts, hoses) Track equipment breakdowns and repairs Keep shop and service truck organized and clean Assist with field repairs when needed Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements:

Mechanical aptitude required; (formal experience preferred) Experience with small engines or construction equipment is a plus Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, not required) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors as needed
