That's a deliberate choice, not an oversight. When a tech's paycheck depends on selling, customers' cars start growing problems. We'd rather just do the transmission, do it right, and get paid honestly for it. If we spot something else, we tell the customer straight — and if it isn't urgent, we tell them that too. ✓

About 80% of our business is transmission and 20% general repair, and roughly 80% of your day will be pulling units and putting them back in. Nissan CVTs are our bread and butter, and we rebuild in-house, so the units aren't a mystery to you. We've been busier than ever, and keeping the schedule full is Paul's job — not yours. PERSONAL NOTE FROM THE OWNER

I'll tell you something most shop owners won't: I never wrenched. When I started out, that worried me. Then somebody told me it would turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to me — and they were right. Because I've never once been tempted to hover over a tech's shoulder and tell him how I would have done it. That isn't my job. My job is to drive work through the front door, run this place like a real business, and make sure the people in the bays have what they need and get paid on time.   skills welcome Solid general repair ability (most good transmission techs already have it)
• we're talking troubleshooting, wiring and automotive computers You'd rather be right than fast
• you enjoy figuring out a car nobody has figured out, and you can road test it You clean up behind yourself — cores go back in the box without anyone asking Steady attendance.

You show up. Good attitude, no ego, easy to be around Valid driver's license ASE or ATRA certification is a plus, not a requirement

This is not an IT job, a software job, or a general labor job. "Transmission" here means the gearbox in a car. If you've never had one out on the floor, this isn't your ad.
