Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic Zane Construction Connecticut Based | Travel Throughout

Pay:

$75,000-$95,000 per year Zane Construction is looking for an experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position will be primarily based in Connecticut but will require regular travel to our active jobsites throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and New Hampshire . The ideal candidate is a dependable, experienced mechanic who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in the field. You'll be responsible for keeping our equipment running safely and efficiently and minimizing downtime across our jobsites. A company truck will be provided for work-related travel. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment in the field Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel-related issues Respond to equipment breakdowns at various jobsites Perform repairs efficiently to minimize equipment downtime Maintain accurate service and repair records Communicate with site supervisors and management regarding equipment issues and needed repairs Maintain company service truck and inventory of commonly used parts/supplies Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements Qualifications Previous experience as a heavy equipment, diesel, or construction equipment mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and general equipment repair Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues independently Must have your own tools Valid driver's license and clean/reliable driving record CDL preferred, but not required Must be comfortable traveling regularly throughout CT, MA, NY, and NH Ability to work independently and manage service calls across multiple jobsites Dependable, organized, and able to communicate effectively with field crews

Compensation & Benefits Salary:

$75,000-$95,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications.
