Job Overview We are seeking an Automotive Service Writer to join our dynamic team. You will serve as the vital link between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive automotive service experience. Part-time and full-time positions are available. Experience preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software, including parts, labor, and additional recommendations. Communicate effectively with service technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs needed, and estimated completion times. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts, and transmission services to enhance customer value. Manage the flow of work orders from start to finish while maintaining clear communication with customers about progress and costs. Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure transparency and accountability. Foster strong client relationships through excellent communication skills and a professional attitude that encourages repeat business. Skills experience in auto service writing preferred Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts, brake systems, and collision repair. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools for accurate assessments preferred Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services confidently while prioritizing customer needs and building trust. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
