Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a wide range of used vehicles Perform routine maintenance including brakes, tires, fluids, and inspections Conduct thorough multipoint inspections to ensure vehicles meet Car Max quality and safety standards Use diagnostic tools and repair information systems to identify and resolve problems efficiently Document all work performed in repair orders with accuracy and detail Collaborate with service advisors, inspectors, and teammates to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines Follow company, safety, and environmental procedures to maintain a clean, compliant shop Support continuous improvement by sharing feedback and participating in training and development Required Skills Automotive diagnostics (OBD-II scanners, scan tools) Engine and drivetrain repair Brake and suspension service Electrical system troubleshooting HVAC system service and repair Wheel alignment and tire service Reading and interpreting repair manuals and wiring diagrams Computerized repair order and shop management systems Safety and EPA compliance in a shop environment Customer-focused communication and teamwork
