Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality automotive service. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake service, tire service, fluid checks, and tune-ups. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and manufacturer specifications. Repair and replace engines, transmissions, suspension components, steering systems, exhaust systems, and other vehicle components. Perform inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance issues. Conduct test drives to verify repairs and ensure proper vehicle operation. Accurately document repairs, parts used, and recommended maintenance. Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to the service team and customers when appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all workplace safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines. Stay current with new automotive technologies, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques. Qualifications Applicant must have their own tools. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as an automotive mechanic or technician preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures. Ability to use diagnostic tools and standard automotive equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills. ASE certification is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to lift and move automotive parts and equipment as required. Ability to work in a garage or shop environment with exposure to noise, oils, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
