Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools, and experience working with various vehicle makes and models, including light passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, including automotive engine system repair, diesel engine repair, and powertrain components. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively. Repair and maintain vehicle systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), alignment, suspension, braking, and electrical components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to perform mechanical repairs efficiently. Execute routine vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and system inspections. Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems utilizing specialized diagnostic equipment. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while adhering to quality control procedures. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice. Maintain accurate documentation of services performed and parts used in compliance with company policies. Experience Proven dealership experience or equivalent background in automotive repair shops. Extensive knowledge of automotive engine technology, including both gasoline and diesel engines. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, and automotive wiring diagram interpretation. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and troubleshooting techniques. Mechanical repair experience across various vehicle systems such as transmission, suspension, steering, and electrical systems. Ability to work with standard passenger cars as well as heavier vehicles requiring specialized tools or procedures. Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems combined with practical skills in using diagnostic tools. Prior experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous but not mandatory. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
