Overview Experienced Mechanic - Fleet & Equipment Terra Garden Solutions is seeking an experienced, dependable Mechanic to join our growing team. This position is responsible for keeping our company vehicles, trailers, and field equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations. We are looking for someone who is mechanically skilled, organized, proactive, and comfortable diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and small-engine equipment. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks and vehicles Diagnose mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, and other vehicle issues Perform oil changes, brake repairs, battery replacements, tire maintenance, and other preventative maintenance Maintain and repair trailers and trailer components Diagnose and repair small engines and company equipment Maintain pest control equipment, including pumps, sprayers, hoses, reels, tanks, and related components Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and vehicle downtime Complete vehicle and equipment inspections and identify problems before they become major repairs Respond to unexpected vehicle or equipment breakdowns when necessary Maintain an organized inventory of commonly used parts, fluids, filters, and shop supplies Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed Communicate with management regarding vehicles or equipment requiring major repairs or replacement Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Help ensure company vehicles and equipment are safe and ready for technicians each day Qualifications Previous professional mechanic experience required Strong automotive troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience performing preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs Experience working with trucks, trailers, small engines, pumps, or similar equipment preferred Ability to use diagnostic tools and standard mechanic equipment Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs based on operational needs Strong attention to detail Dependable and able to manage multiple vehicles and repairs Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely lift and move parts, tools, and equipment associated with mechanic work What We're Looking For Our ideal mechanic doesn't just fix equipment after it breaks.
