An RV technician diagnoses, inspects, repairs, and maintains recreational vehicles, including travel trailers and motorhomes. They are skilled in multiple trades—plumbing, electrical (AC/DC), HVAC, propane systems, and appliances—to ensure safe, functional, and comfortable living spaces for users. Duties include troubleshooting, installing parts, carpentry, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

System Diagnostics & Repair:
Inspect, adjust, and repair plumbing, electrical, propane, hydraulic, and HVAC systems. •
Appliance Service:
Repair and maintain generators, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators, and stoves. •
Structural & Interior Maintenance:
Repair or replace cabinetry, wood surfaces, windows, doors, and furniture. •
Structural Repairs:
Perform repairs on roofs, sidewalls, and seal gaps to prevent leaks. •
Chassis/Running Gear:
Maintain towing systems, brakes, and suspensions. •
Customer Interaction:
Discuss repair needs, interpret work orders, and explain completed work. •
Installation:
Install optional equipment or customize RVs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Aptitude:
Strong troubleshooting skills across plumbing, electrical, and mechanical trades. •
Physical Stamina:
Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy parts, and work outdoors. •
Tools Knowledge:
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. •
Certifications:
Certification from the RV Technician Association of America (RVTAA) or RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is highly preferred. •
License:
Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
Work Environment:
RV technicians work in dealerships, service centers, or as mobile technicians. The job involves working on various types of vehicles, including Class A, B, and C motorhomes, travel trailers, and campers •Pay is per Flat Rate Hour and depends on skill level•
