Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. General Maintenance- Assistant Auto Mechanic This is a full-time, hourly position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position is located in Enterprise, FL. Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent and three years experience in auto mechanics preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills to successfully perform in this role. Work effectively with co-workers in whatever task is required and accept supervision. Communication skills, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of work skill and maintenance skills required for the general upkeep of buildings. Maintain sensitivity to our target populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages and responds to all requests for auto mechanic support. Maintains a safe, clean, organized work environment for self, coworkers, residents and visitors. Coordinate, locate, account for, maintain, protect and secure the furniture, fixtures, equipment, supplies and inventory. Work closely with the Director, Facilities to achieve completion of work orders and assignments which are assigned to the department. Maintain and operate all tools and equipment that are assigned to the care of or for use by in performance of assigned responsibilities. Maintain proper safety requirements as outlined by OSHA and other standards of safety.
