The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repair and maintenance, with experience working on GM vehicles, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems. This role involves diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle issues, utilizing advanced tools and schematics, and providing exceptional customer service. The Service Technician will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment equipment to execute repairs and maintenance tasks. Repair or replace components such as transmissions, electrical systems, and other mechanical parts with precision. Perform vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and general inspections. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems effectively. Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and maintaining professional communication. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Experience Dealership experience or equivalent automotive service experience is highly preferred. Proven expertise in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain repair, and vehicle maintenance. Hands-on experience with ADAS systems, wheel alignments, transmissions, diesel engine repair, and welding is advantageous. Familiarity with schematics, auto estimating software, and GM vehicles is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively. Prior experience working in a fast-paced automotive repair shop or dealership environment is desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
