Job Description

RSP Auto Repair & Tires is a five-bay independent shop in Fort Pierce serving St. Lucie County. We're hiring an organized, dependable Office Coordinator / Service Advisor to run our front office and keep the shop flowing. This is not a role for someone who needs to be reminded about tasks. We need a sharp, proactive professional who remembers details, follows procedures, communicates confidently, and turns customer inquiries into scheduled and approved repair work.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. No weekends.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Answer incoming calls professionally and convert inquiries into appointments Greet customers and gather accurate vehicle and concern information Create and maintain repair orders, estimates, appointments, and customer records Clearly explain recommended services, pricing, financing options, and next steps Contact customers for repair authorizations and document their decisions Follow up on declined estimates, missed appointments, and unfinished recommendations Promote available financing when cost is preventing a customer from approving needed repairs Collect payments and provide receipts and completed paperwork Communicate repair status updates without making unauthorized promises Coordinate with technicians on inspections, repair progress, and completion times Keep the front office, schedule, filing system, and follow-up list organized Complete opening, daily, and closing checklists
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Arrives on time and is ready to work at the scheduled start time Highly organized — tracks customers, estimates, appointments, parts, payments, and follow-ups Strong memory, and documents important information carefully Coachable — follows the owner's systems and direction, and receives correction professionally Friendly and professional while remaining confident and assertive Comfortable recommending services and asking customers to approve repairs Understands that following up with customers is part of the sales process Takes ownership without making excuses, and keeps composure when the office gets busy Protects customer information and handles sensitive business matters professionally Comfortable with computers, text, email, scheduling systems, and office software Automotive office, service-writing, sales, or customer-service experience preferred
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Calls get answered and returned. Appointments and follow-ups don't get forgotten. Customers get accurate, timely communication. Estimates are presented confidently. Repair opportunities aren't lost to poor follow-up. Paperwork stays organized. The front office helps the whole shop run efficiently.
COMPENSATION
$15-$19/hour based on automotive office, customer-service, sales, and service-advisor experience. Candidates without automotive service-advisor experience may start near the lower end; proven automotive sales, service-writing, and office-management experience may qualify for a higher starting rate. Also eligible for monthly performance bonuses based on attendance, punctuality, organization, customer follow-up, appointment conversion, accurate documentation, customer service, and overall shop performance. Compensation and performance reviewed after 90 days.
