Job Description

Highway Tire & Auto, a family-owned shop in Mooresville, NC, seeks an A-Level Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Mercedes, BMW, Ford, Chevy, and other vehicles. You'll handle advanced diagnostics, brakes, tires, alignments, and general repairs while delivering honest recommendations and quality workmanship. Work in a clean, well-equipped shop with a close-knit, customer-first team that values integrity, craftsmanship, and long-term relationships. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Mercedes, BMW, Ford, Chevy and other vehicles Perform advanced diagnostics using scan tools and manufacturer procedures Complete brake, suspension, alignment, tire, and general maintenance services Ensure high-quality workmanship and accurate, honest repair recommendations Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized work area and tools Test drive vehicles to verify concerns and confirm successful repairs Communicate clearly with service advisors about repair needs, timelines, and parts Follow all safety, environmental, and shop procedures and guidelines Assist in mentoring junior technicians and sharing technical knowledge Build long-term relationships with customers through reliable, friendly service Required Skills Automotive diagnostics Mercedes/BMW repair Ford/Chevy repair Brake systems service Wheel alignment Suspension and steering repair Tire mounting and balancing OBD-II scan tool use Electrical troubleshooting Technical service information usage
