Gary Smith Honda in beautiful Fort Walton Beach, FL is a family-owned and operated car dealership seeking an experienced, full-time Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. We are looking for someone who is a real go-getter and seeks to achieve optimum performance in our service department.

Automotive Service Advisor Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting, confirming, and preparing for appointments with customers
• Greeting customers in a timely and friendly manner
• Determining vehicle service needs
• Using a consultative selling process to assist customers in planning for on-going required maintenance of their vehicle
• Producing repair orders for customers including cost and time estimates
• Communicating frequently with Technicians and Parts Associates to ensure timely completion of work
• Following-up with customers on the status of their vehicle and to ensure satisfaction
• Setting and achieving targeted sales and service goals
• Gaining superior product knowledge to effectively help customers with service maintenance requirements and warranty information
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty to the dealership
• Other duties as assigned Automotive Service Advisor Position Requirements
• 1+ years of service writing experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate a manual and automatic transmission required
• Ability to work in all weather conditions including high heat and humidity
• Previous sales experience preferred
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with many priorities and deadlines
• Excellent Organization and follow-up skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Proficiency with computers and technology
• Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds software preferred
• Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record required
• Must be able to pass a drug test as we are a drug free workplace

Automotive Service Schedule Requirements:

Must be available to work Monday

• Friday 7:30 am
• 5:30 pm and rotate Saturdays 8:00 am
• 5:00
