East Coast Metal Structures is seeking a dependable and motivated Mechanic Assistant to join out Mechanics Department. This position will assist with the repair, servicing, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of company vehicles, machinery, and equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn, and able to work safely in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist mechanics with the repair, service, and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance, oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication, and inspections. Help maintain trucks, forklifts, telehandlers, lifts, cranes, and other equipment. Keep the mechanics' area, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and maintenance performed. Report mechanical problems or safety concerns to the Lead Mechanic. Follow all company safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Mechanical experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment. Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn. Good attendance and a strong work ethic. Valid driver's license preferred. Hourly wage determined through experience and interview process.
