Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of automotive systems. Duties Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, and transmission servicing to prevent breakdowns. Repair and replace hydraulic systems, air brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC components to ensure optimal performance of industrial equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to assemble or repair machinery parts. Troubleshoot electrical systems including automotive diagnostics and electrical wiring to identify faults accurately. Conduct alignment procedures and perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as cranes or forklifts. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and follow safety protocols during all repair activities. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems like Caterpillar or other brands. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic system layouts. Hands-on experience with diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and tire service. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
