10+ Years Professional Automotive Experience About Stage 4 Motorsports Stage 4 Motorsports is a specialty automotive performance, customization, service, and repair facility located in Largo, Florida. We work on everything from high-end European and exotic vehicles to high-performance domestic cars, diesel trucks, and full custom builds. We are looking for an experienced Specialty Automotive Technician with a strong background in the performance aftermarket industry and luxury/exotic vehicles . This is not an entry-level technician position. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of professional automotive experience , understands aftermarket performance modifications, is comfortable diagnosing complex problems, and can be trusted to independently work on high-value customer vehicles.

European / Exotic Lamborghini Ferrari Porsche McLaren Audi Mercedes-Benz / AMG BMW / M Bentley Rolls-Royce Aston Martin Domestic / Trucks Ford Chevrolet GMC Dodge / RAM Jeep High-performance and diesel truck platforms What You'll Be Working On This position goes well beyond routine maintenance. Our technicians work on performance upgrades, advanced diagnostics, custom builds, and specialty projects.
Typical work includes:
Advanced vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting Engine performance diagnosis ECU/TCU-related performance upgrades Turbocharger and supercharger installations Turbo upgrades and supporting modifications Intercooler and charge-air system upgrades Performance exhaust systems, downpipes, and headers Fuel system upgrades Intake and cooling system upgrades Suspension, coilover, and lowering systems Lift kits and truck suspension Brake upgrades Wheel and tire installation Engine removal and installation Engine builds and performance engine work Transmission removal, installation, and upgrades Electrical diagnostics and wiring Aftermarket accessory installation Fabrication and welding when required Routine maintenance and service on luxury and exotic vehicles Full custom vehicle builds You may be working on a Porsche 911 Turbo S performance build one day, diagnosing a Lamborghini the next, and completing a custom truck or engine build after that. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements: 10+ years of professional automotive technician experience Previous experience in the automotive performance/aftermarket industry Previous experience working on luxury, European, exotic, and/or high-performance vehicles Strong mechanical diagnostic abilities Strong electrical diagnostic abilities Experience installing aftermarket performance components Experience with turbocharged and supercharged applications Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical service information Ability to properly diagnose problems rather than simply replacing parts Understanding of modified vehicles and how aftermarket systems interact with OEM systems Ability to complete jobs efficiently while maintaining extremely high workmanship standards Ability to work independently without constant supervision Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Strong attention to detail Good organization and time-management skills Professional attitude and appearance Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Must provide and maintain your own professional automotive tools Stage 4 Motorsports provides specialty and shop equipment, but technicians are expected to have the professional hand tools and equipment normally required for an experienced automotive technician. Preferred Experience Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in: Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, Audi, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz Performance engine building Turbocharger systems Supercharger systems ECU/TCU tuning-related hardware European and exotic vehicle diagnostics CAN bus and advanced electrical diagnostics Custom wiring Fabrication and welding Performance suspension Diesel performance Custom truck builds Engine and transmission swaps High-horsepower vehicle builds ASE certifications or automotive technical-school certifications are a plus, but real-world experience, diagnostic ability, workmanship, and knowledge of performance vehicles are more important to us. What We're Looking For We want a technician who takes ownership of their work and their projects. Our customers trust us with expensive vehicles and significant builds. Attention to detail matters. Parts need to be installed correctly, vehicles need to be protected while being worked on, problems need to be communicated, and jobs need to be completed to a professional standard. The right person should be able to receive a project, understand the objective, identify potential problems, develop a plan, and move the job toward completion without needing someone to constantly manage every step.

Compensation is based on experience and, more importantly, demonstrated ability. Technicians with extensive experience in exotic and luxury vehicles, advanced diagnostics, fabrication, engine building, electrical troubleshooting, and high-performance aftermarket work may qualify toward the higher end of the range.
