Here, you'll work in a fast-paced, high-volume auction environment where no two days look alike. Experienced in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, engine and transmission repairs, ABS brake bleeds, relearn protocols, tire mounting, and everything in between; you'll be the reason hundreds of vehicles cross our auction block in top condition every week. You're not just fixing cars; you're keeping an entire operation moving. Your Day-to-Day Adventures Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accuratelyInspect vehicle computer and electronic systems using the latest diagnostic toolsPrepare detailed condition reports on vehicles to be auctionedProvide thorough post-sale inspections to ensure customer satisfactionPerform necessary mechanical repairs on arbitrated vehicles with attention to detailProvide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for repair workMaintain comprehensive records on work completed and outstanding issuesSupport Lot Crews to ensure smooth daily operationsMaintain shop, equipment and tools in excellent condition What We're Looking For (The Must-Haves) High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of automotive mechanic experience (this is the big one!) and some experience with vehicle diagnostics
ASE & OEM
certifications (not required, but we'd be impressed!)Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass our background check and drug screeningAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditionsUnderstanding of basic automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical)Ability to quickly identify common vehicle issuesComfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipmentValid unrestricted driver's license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmissionsMust possess a personal set of tools required for the roleBasic computer skills for recording vehicle conditions and repairsAbility to coordinate with auction staff, drivers, and managementComfort working on various makes, models, and vehicle types The Good Stuff (AKA Your Compensation & Perks!) Monday - Friday, with Wednesday auction day support (weekends are yours!)
