Now is the time to join our quickly growing service department team. Certifications highly preferred! Honda or Acura technicians highly preferred! Pay rate dependent on experience and certifications. Automotive service technicians keep cars running safely and efficiently by providing vehicle maintenance, as well as diagnosing and repairing vehicles. Automotive Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities Perform vehicle multi-point inspections on all vehicles. Repair and replace parts of vehicles that have worn out or are in danger of failure. Diagnosis using both tools and visual inspections, along with issues reported by the customer. Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking and air conditioning. Perform warranty repairs under manufacturers guidelines and specifications. Perform pre and post repair test drives, to duplicate customers concerns as well as do final test drive to ensure good quality of work performed. Interact and communicate with service advisors (and customers), providing them with information about vehicle problems and necessary maintenance tasks. Assist in preparing repair estimates and price quotes based on parts and service labor hours and providing the customer with options regarding replacement parts. Document all repairs and inspections thoroughly. Maintain a safe and clean shop by using / storing parts and tools adhering to safety protocols at all times. This includes following established procedures for safe disposal of motor oil, tires, and other vehicle fluids.
