Job Summary Black Horse Collision is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Body Paint Technician with experience refinishing premium European and domestic vehicles to exacting standards. This role is ideal for a craftsman who takes pride in precision, finish quality, and delivering showroom-level results across luxury, performance, and everyday automotive brands. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in paint preparation, color matching, refinishing, and final detailing while maintaining efficiency, safety, and uncompromising quality. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting through sanding, masking, priming, and repair finishing Mix and match paint colors accurately using computerized color-matching systems Apply primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray equipment and advanced refinishing techniques Perform refinishing work on European and domestic vehicles including luxury, performance, SUV, and truck platforms Blend adjacent panels to achieve seamless factory-quality finishes Inspect completed work for color accuracy, texture consistency, and overall finish quality Buff, polish, and detail painted surfaces to meet dealership or collision-center standards Maintain paint booth cleanliness and ensure all equipment is properly serviced and calibrated Follow manufacturer paint specifications and safety procedures Collaborate with body technicians, estimators, and management to ensure timely completion of repairs Maintain accurate records of materials and work performed Experience 3+ years of automotive paint/refinish experience preferred Experience working with European brands Strong knowledge of modern refinishing systems, waterborne paints, and paint booth operations Ability to color match and blend finishes with precision Familiarity with OEM repair procedures and quality standards Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-quality environment I-CAR or ASE certifications are a plus
