Job Description

Automotive Assistant Service Manager / Service Advisor Chevrolet / GM Experience Required Dyer Auto Group If you know Chevrolet service, understand the difference between simply writing repair orders and actually running your business from the service drive , we should talk. Dyer Auto Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Assistant Service Manager / Service Advisor with a strong GM/Chevrolet background to join our Fixed Operations team. This is not an entry-level advisor position . We are looking for someone who understands the dealership business, can take ownership of their customers, works well with technicians and management, and wants an opportunity to grow with an organization that takes Fixed Operations seriously. What Makes This Opportunity Different? At Dyer, we don't believe great employees should have to change companies every two years just to get an opportunity to advance.
We want people who are:
Competitive without being cutthroat Accountable without needing to be babysat Great with customers Respected by technicians Comfortable with numbers and performance expectations Willing to help teammates instead of saying, "That's not my job." Interested in continuing to grow professionally If you've previously coached employees, helped run a service department, handled difficult customer situations, managed workflow, trained other advisors, worked closely with technicians, or taken on responsibilities beyond a traditional advisor role, we want to hear from you. Your title today isn't nearly as important to us as what you're capable of doing tomorrow. What You'll Be Doing You'll be responsible for creating an exceptional service experience from beginning to end, including: Greeting customers and properly identifying their vehicle concerns Writing accurate and complete repair orders Reviewing maintenance history and manufacturer recommendations Presenting needed maintenance and repairs professionally Maintaining consistent communication throughout the repair process Working closely with technicians, dispatch and management Reviewing technician findings and helping ensure recommendations are properly communicated Following up with customers and building long-term relationships Managing your open repair orders and keeping work moving Protecting CSI while still understanding that we are running a business Helping maintain an organized, professional and accountable service drive Assisting the service management team when needed Helping coach and support other team members when your experience can make the department better What We're Looking For GM/Chevrolet dealership experience is required.
Our ideal candidate has:
Proven automotive service advisor or service management experience Strong Chevrolet/General Motors knowledge Excellent communication skills Strong understanding of dealership Fixed Operations Ability to work with both customers and technicians Solid organizational and follow-up habits An understanding of labor sales, maintenance sales, customer-pay performance, warranty and CSI The ability to handle a busy service drive without losing control of the details A desire to improve, compete and grow Experience with CDK and XTIME is a major plus. Culture Matters Here Dyer Auto Group believes that how we achieve results matters just as much as the results themselves. Our mission and core values aren't something we put on a poster and forget about. We expect our people to understand them, believe in them and live them. That means doing the right thing for the customer, the company and your teammates — even when nobody is watching. We believe in accountability. We believe in developing people. We believe in taking ownership. And we believe that the best dealership environments are created when good people are given expectations, resources, support and an opportunity to succeed. If You're Ready for More... Maybe you're already a top-performing advisor. Maybe you've become the person everyone in the department comes to when there's a problem. Maybe you've been supervising people, solving problems and helping run a department without having the title that goes with it. Or maybe you're simply ready to find out what the next chapter of your career could look like. That's exactly the kind of conversation we'd like to have. Come see what Fixed Operations looks like when it is treated as a major part of the dealership — because at Dyer Auto Group, it is. Apply confidentially today. Let's talk about where you've been, what you're capable of, and where you want your career to go next.
