Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain elements. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and wheel balancing to optimize vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs such as welding, auto body work, and mechanical adjustments. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto electrical systems to ensure modern vehicle safety features are fully operational. Follow manufacturer guidelines and schematics to execute repairs on GM vehicles and other makes with precision. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and estimates. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with brand-specific procedures. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, diesel engine repair, and auto estimating software. Skilled in working with vehicle systems such as transmissions, air brakes (nice-to-have), alignment, suspension components, and auto electrical systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for complex repairs.
