Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques to execute repairs efficiently. Work with diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles, including air brake systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), ensuring compliance with industry standards. Interpret technical schematics and repair manuals to facilitate precise repairs on GM vehicles and other makes. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, diesel engines, suspension systems, brakes, and powertrain components. Proficiency with schematics, auto estimating software, and diagnostic tools used for automotive electrical systems troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Valid certification or licensing in automotive repair; ASE certification or equivalent is advantageous.
